Reichert’s Phoroptor VRx Digital Refraction System promises to increase your office efficiency so you can quickly complete your exam processes with confidence.
Thanks to it having the thinnest and most compact design available, the Phoroptor’ VRx Digital Refraction System boasts incredibly fast lens exchanges, motorized prisms, split cylinder lenses, and ultra-quiet operation. It also features an intuitive 10.4-in. touch-screen display and an ergonomic keypad with a multi-function control knob. The Phoroptor VRx also has unique external prism lenses that slide in when you need them, and out when you’re finished. Premium motors and parts provide an incredibly fast and ultra-quiet lens exchange so that patients will hardly notice the lens movement.
Refinement of cylinder power and axis is easily accomplished by using the Jackson Cross Cylinder or the Smart Cylinder method, in which cylinder power and axis are automatically bracketed based on the amount of cylinder in the patient’s prescription. There’s also a Split Cylinder mode that simultaneously presents two targets to patients.
The Phoroptor VRx allows doctors to rapidly perform all of the functions of a manual Phoroptor (and more), all while being seated next to the patient. The system is preprogrammed with tests for astigmatism, phoria, binocular balance, and near vision, but doctors can also enter their own test sequences that can be easily modified or shared between multiple Phoroptor VRx systems.
The Phoroptor name has been trademarked by Reichert since 1921, and the Phoroptor VRx carries the legacy of top-notch engineering, quality, and reliability now with the speed and efficiency of digital refraction. Designed and hand-assembled in the U.S., the Phoroptor VRx also connects to numerous models of pre-test and acuity devices from both Reichert and non-Reichert brands.
