OWL NAMES FRIES EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Gaynor Fries has been appointed executive  director of OWL: Advancing Diversity in Leadership, an organization dedicated to "driving innovation and patient care by advancing diversity in eyecare leadership." She brings more than 25 years of experience as an administrator and management consultant. Fries has a BA in Business Administration and a Certificate in Non-Profit Management from Duke University. AVEDRO SECURES $25M TO DEVELOP NON-INVASIVE CORNEAL REMODELING

Ophthalmic pharmaceutical and medical device company Avedro has secured $25 million in financing. The investment will be used to invest in product development, clinical studies, and commercial efforts, including expansion of sales and reimbursement support. The financing was led by Lilly Asia Ventures (LAV) with major participation from existing investors OrbiMed Advisors, InterWest Partners and HealthQuest Capital. Read More>>
