The Dr. W. David Sullins, Jr. InfantSEE Award will be presented at the American Optometric Association’s Optometry’s Meeting to be held June 20-24, 2018, in Denver. All nominations must be submitted online by April 16, 2018.
Recognizing an individual doctor of optometry who has made significant contributions to optometry or the community for outstanding public service involving the InfantSEE program, the award honors Dr. Sullins’ inspiring and passionate leadership as a driving force in the profession of optometry. A memorial fund was established after his passing in 2005 and led to the creation of this award. The recipient will receive travel reimbursement up to $1,000 to attend the event and a gold medallion.
To nominate a colleague, review the list of tips and complete the online application with a digital photograph of the nominee and a nomination statement. For more information, contact the AOA Foundation at 800.365.2219, ext. 4286 or Foundation@AOA.org.
